Liberal MP Melissa McIntosh says she thinks the party could go back to the Robert Menzies era and look at the “forgotten people”, with Western Sydney being one of them.
“I think we shouldn’t lose sight on the suburbs being the backbone of our nation,” Ms McIntosh told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“But we have to be quite pragmatic in being a government and ensuring that the policies we deliver for our people are things around infrastructure, around creating better opportunities for people and ensuring that they have access to good health, and we should not lose sight of that.”
