Some independent candidates running for election are ‘amazingly capable’: Zali Steggall

Independent MP Zali Steggall says some independent candidates running in this election are “amazingly capable” people who are qualified and experienced.
It comes as Ms Steggall was asked at a National Press Club event if independents would work as a "bloc" in the parliament.
“I cannot speak for other independent members when it comes to the Lower House, but what I do know is some of the candidates running for election are amazing people, amazingly capable," she said.
“They are qualified, they are experienced; we are talking award-winning journalists, we are talking CEOs of companies, we are talking people who will bring their professional skills to the table and bring a real integrity and merit-based approach."
