For years, Mexican drug cartels like Sinaloa and Jalisco Nueva Generacion have purchased cocaine from Colombian gangs. But now they are increasing their presence in the country to safeguard their production and distribution. They are also experimenting with coca plant and yields to increase production without increasing plantation.
