
Sky News contributor Leisa Goddard says nobody is “doing enough” to relieve the pressures of housing affordability, as the Newcastle Herald reported a decrease in regional housing affordability.
“During COVID we all saw everybody move –encouraged to, really – to move out to regional areas and that pushed prices way up,” she told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.
“The fact that you would have to save, over 11 years, 15 per cent of your wage, just to try and hit that 20 per cent deposit.
“And that would be to get in at the bottom of the market.
“I can understand why people are feeling like it’s the impossible dream.”
