Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says Australia does not need the "uncertainty, the chaos and the confusion" of a hung parliament.
During the Kooyong People’s Forum debate on Thursday, in which he went head-to-head with Climate 200 independent Monique Ryan, Mr Frydenberg said Australia has "very big issues", including climate change.
"Coming out of COVID and securing our recovery’s another, and dealing with a much more unstable regional environment is another important priority," he said.
"We need the stability and strength and certainty of government."
