Solomon Islands Opposition MP Peter Kenilorea says it was “quite shocking to hear” Prime Minister Sogavare’s takedown of Australia.
Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has accused Australia of undermining his government in a parliament address.
“I’m sure there are better ways to convey points, particularly to a partner, a strong friend of Solomon Islands but he told some very derogatory descriptions to our relationships which was quite sad,” Mr Kenilorea told Sky News Australia.
Mr Kenilorea said Mr Sogavare’s relationship with Australia “has mountains and valleys” and is currently at a low point.
