White House press secretary Jen Psaki has been trolled online after pointing out a “common dominator” of Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine this year and in 2014 has taken place while Joe Biden has been both president and vice-president.
Ms Psaki was a guest on CNN when she pointed out that Joe Biden was the vice-president in 2014 when Russia invaded the Crimea area of Ukraine.
“I was at the State department, the president was the vice-president the last time Russia invaded Ukraine. This is a pattern of horror from President Putin and the cronies around him,” she said.
Twitter users were quick to mock the press secretary for pointing out that Joe Biden could be the “pattern”.
“The first step is admitting you have a problem,” Sky News host James Morrow wrote.
“hmm wonder what the common dominator is?” another user wrote.
“She doesn’t seem to realise what she’s admitting,” wrote another user.
