Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has apologised to Queenslanders who were unable to see their loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday, a grieving son interrupted the Premier’s press conference to tell her she “failed” him after he travelled to New South Wales to see his dying dad.
“Your government failed me when my father was dying and I will never ever forgive you," the man yelled out.
“I did all the right things and your government locked me out. I did everything right Annastacia and I will hold you accountable to that.”
Ms Palaszczuk replied by saying, "It’s been very tough for everybody during this pandemic. A lot of people have not been able to see family and friends and we’re seeing loved ones being lost".
"All I can do is apologise to people who haven’t been able to see their loved ones during the pandemic," she said.
