Fact checkers ‘mercilessly mocked’ on Biden administration crack pipe claim

Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton says some fact checkers are “not fit to be Instagram bloggers,” let alone the arbiters of truth.

Mr Houghton referred to a recent “doozy” of a “fact checking gone wrong story” involving a claim relating to a provision in a Biden administration overdose prevention program.

He said “activists” at the fact checking website Snopes were “mercilessly mocked” by Fox News journalists for their handling of a recent fact checking “saga” relating to a story on the issue.

“Thankfully, we have people like journalists at Fox News who mercilessly mocked Snopes for this entire insane saga.

“They splashed with ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ and proceeded to fact check the fact checkers.”
