Melbourne software developer Matt Hayward has created a website called ‘Find a RAT’ to help people find tests around the country.
This comes as Australia is facing a critical shortage of rapid antigen tests as waiting times blow out at PCR testing clinics.
Mr Hayward told Sky News Australia the site is simple to use.
"You just jump onto findarat.com.au and then there’s two parts, so you can view a list of reports of places that have stock, low stock or no stock in your local area," he said.
"And then those that can add a report as well, so they can jump on and say, ‘yep, I found some at this location’, or ‘there’s none at this location’, and also enter the price as well that they pay."
