A global search has begun to find five independent directors for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games organising committee, says Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“This is of course a massive opportunity for Brisbane and Queensland on the world stage,” he said.
“We should be looking for the best people in the world to head this thing up.”
Mr Bond discussed the issue with Liberal MP Ted O’Brien.
“We have five independent directors to join that organising committee and they have to be the best, that is first and foremost,” Mr O’Brien said.
“Secondly, they have to be independent and thirdly they have to be able to make a demonstrable contribution to hosting the Games in 2032.”
