The Australian’s Sophie Elsworth says the ABC’s Q+A program is “very left”.
It comes after the ABC’s Stan Grant called for more diversity on the program next year.
“This show is in disaster zone, its ratings are falling, they lost their host Hamish Macdonald this year, he walked out the door,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“It’s heavily skewed left, it’s got a left audience, it’s actually pretty vile TV because if you’re on the right, you just get booed … if I was a Coalition MP, I would go nowhere near that program.
“But Stan saying that we need more diverse voices on the show, and I think he’s absolutely right, but this shows got a long way to go, again ABC in fine form.
“Very left, the audience is left, the panels left, why would you bother tuning in on a Thursday night? I’d watch the football or something on Sky News to be quite frank.”
