Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson says the "reputational damage" Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has caused to the state is "absolutely significant".
This comes as the state is set to open its borders on December 13.
Mr Gleeson said the premier’s current problem is similar to ‘The Boy who Cried Wolf’.
"The reputational damage and loss of goodwill that’s accumulated in Queensland from southern states is absolutely significant," he told Sky News Australia.
"And there are many people in this country who’ve decided to give Queensland this summer because they don’t trust what the premier’s up to."
