Significant rainfall in parts of Queensland has multiple regions on flood alert.
On the first day of summer, residents have woken up to major flooding with 180 millimetres of rain having fallen in the last 24 hours and more than 400 roads closed across the state.
Overnight, the small town of Inglewood in south western Queensland was evacuated.
On the east coast, the city of Bundaberg has reportedly been cut-off from the rest of the state due to the rising Burnett River.
Queensland’s Fire and Emergency Services are urging residents to be aware of their local conditions.
