Several flood warnings are in place for rivers in Queensland as heavy rain drenches part of the state.
Flash flooding has led to the closure of many roads including the border crossing on the Mount Lindesay Highway.
The SES has received 48 calls for assistance since 5pm yesterday – the majority were in the state’s south-west.
There have moderate flood warnings for the Balonne River, Condamine River and the lower Macintyre River.
Minor flood warnings have been issued for Dawson River and Theresa Creek, Kolan River, lower Barcoo River, Moonie River, and Paroo River.
