Cancel culture ‘obliterates’ creativity and comedy

Sky News host Rowan Dean says cancel culture is a “giant foot which comes crashing down” and destroys creativity and comedy.

It comes as production for the musical ‘Into the Woods’ was halted after reports some staff members were uneasy with controversial comments previously made by co-director Terry Gilliam.

“Isn’t it funny that Terry Gilliam, the only American on Monty Python, he was the animator basically, his initial contribution to Monty Python, what made him part of the team was that giant foot that came crashing down," Mr Dean said.

“Well, that’s what cancel culture is, a giant foot which comes crashing down and obliterates comedy and creativity.”
