‘As vaccination rates go up, the cases come down’: Collignon

Infectious Diseases Physician Professor Peter Collignon says as vaccination rates begin to soar, COVID-19 cases start to decline.

“What’s made a big difference in New South Wales and the graph actually looks better…because they had a peak I think, you know, 1,600-1,800 cases about September 11 and it’s continued to go down since then,” Mr Collignon told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“Melbourne is actually five or six weeks behind Sydney but it is going down.

“As vaccination rates go up, the cases come down.”
