There shouldn’t be different parliamentary chambers ‘according to racial background’

The discussion about a black parliament for Indigenous people in Victoria is “disturbing” because there should not be different chambers “according to people’s racial background,” says Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“To break up the community among racial lines is, to me, so toxic and so destructive,” she said.

“We’ve got a democracy in this country; we should treasure and value that, not undermine it by having different chambers according to people’s racial background.”
