Hong Kong declares Australian rock lobsters a ‘national security threat’

Sky News host Chris Smith says Hong Kong’s customs chief has declared Australia’s rock lobsters a national security threat after smugglers were able to get them into the market.

“After being kicked out of China, they found new markets in Hong Kong," Mr Smith said.

He said he wondered how long it would be before Beijing intervened “because they didn’t like that news”.

"Today the customs chief says our rock lobsters are now a national security threat – surprise surprise.”
