NSW Labor is in a ‘very strong position to win the next election’

The Daily Telegraph’s Federal Political Editor James Morrow says NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns is a “real threat” to the NSW government at the next election.

It comes as NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced her resignation, leaving questions over who will replace her.

“(Chris Minns) has put Labor, I think, in a very commanding position if they go with a moderate leader or if Matt Kean gets elevated or, it seems like the left is more and more in charge then, I think, Labor is in a very strong position to win the next election,” Mr Morrow said.

“You could see a Perrottet-Kean joint government with Kean as deputy, and if that firms up then you get the left faction and the right faction represented.”
