Morrison government must answer ‘crucial questions’ before net-zero pledge

If the Morrison government is going to commit to net-zero by 2050, then we need to know what that will cost, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The push now is to sign up to net-zero by 2050, that means Australia has to find a way to cut annual emissions by 415 million tonnes over the next 29 years,” he said.

“How will they get there, and what will be the cost?

“Good luck doing that without nuclear energy.”
