If outbreak grows in Qld Annastacia Palaszczuk will ‘always be remembered for it’

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says there is not "any doubt" Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk would have "behaved differently" to seeing cases increase if the NRL Grand Final was not taking place in the Sunshine State.

It comes as Queensland recorded an increase in cases to six recorded on Thursday, putting the NRL Grand Final set for Sunday at risk.

“If it gets out because of this, she’ll (Annastacia Palaszczuk) always be remembered for it,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“But the decision will come down to tomorrow and if there is something like 15, 20, unlinked cases, if it spreads, then she’ll be moving it to Townsville.

“I can’t guarantee you at the moment the NRL Grand Final will be in Brisbane, we’ll know from the case numbers tomorrow, that’ll be a press conference worth watching on Sky that’s for sure.

“But I don’t think there’s any doubt she would have behaved differently on this if it wasn’t for the NRL Grand Final.”
