Commonwealth Bank backs girls becoming part of Australia’s football story

Commonwealth Bank is helping Football Australia ensure young girls who play the sport become women who are still in the game.

Football Australia’s Head of Women’s Football Sarah Walsh says they are thinking about "retention strategies" and what can be changed in the systems and structures of football to intentionally include women.

"At the moment only 22 per cent of our total participation is made up of women and girls and we want to get that to 50 per cent," she said.

"CommBank are essential to everything we do … we can’t do it by ourselves."
