Yass Valley LGA re-enters lockdown

Yass Valley Council in New South Wales’ Southern Tablelands has re-entered lockdown just three days after restrictions were lifted for much of regional New South Wales.

Stay-at-home orders resumed overnight, for at least the next two weeks after a positive case was found in the area.

It follows two detections of viral fragments in the region’s wastewater.

New South Wales Health said urgent investigations and contact tracing are underway.

Some exposure venues were identified late on Monday – including Woolworths, Aldi, Domino’s and the Caltex service station.

The lockdown applies to all people who live in the Yass Valley LGA or have been there since September 9.
