Labor MPs criticise decision to parachute Keneally into the seat of Fowler: Murray

Sky News host Paul Murray says even Labor MPs are criticising the decision to parachute Kristina Keneally into the seat of Fowler by pushing aside local candidate Tu Le.

Ms Le is a lawyer who was backed by outgoing MP Chris Hayes to take over his seat.

While she was born in Australia, her parents come from Vietnam and the Vietnamese community make up a large part of the electorate.

“Each way Albo has gone from supporting the local community activist, the perfect example of the Australian immigrant story, to yet another immigrant to Australia, but one who has already had many chances to fail in Australian politics,” Mr Murray said.

“Labor MPs who never speak ill of their own party are doing so and are doing so in droves.”
