Biden criticised after defending Afghanistan withdrawal at Flight 93 memorial

US President Joe Biden has defended his decision to withdraw American forces from Afghanistan while attending the memorial for United Flight 93.

United 93 crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on 9/11, killing the terrorists, seven crew members and 33 other passengers.

The president visited the site as America commemorated the 20th anniversary of the deadly terrorist attack.

While he was there, President Biden vociferously defended his administration’s decision to withdraw forces.

“If you had told anybody that we were going to spend 300 million bucks a day for 20 years to try to unite the country after we got bin Laden, after Al-Qaeda was wiped out there," he told reporters.

“Can Al-Qaeda come back? Yeah but guess what? It’s already back other places.”
