As ‘we move to open up’ Australia could ‘do well’ to look at France

Sky News host Sharri Markson says as “we move to open up” in the country, Australia “could do well” to look at what has taken place in France.

“Life there is back to normal,” Ms Markson said.

“And the only reason for this is that to go into a restaurant, a shop or a museum, you need to prove you’ve been vaccinated.

"Or you need to prove that you don’t have Covid, and there are rapid testing stations set up on the main streets.

Ms Markson discussed some issues and debate around mandatory vaccinations saying the “outrage” from people objecting to the notion is “completely misplaced”.

“We moved heaven and earth to protect our elderly throughout the majority of this pandemic and now we need to protect our children, just as much as we protected our elderly, when we now open up.

“The way to do this is to make sure that everyone is vaccinated – to slow the spread of Delta – and whatever variant comes next.”
