NSW Health announce 12 COVID-19 deaths

New South Wales Deputy Chief Health Officer Dr Marianne Gale says there have been 12 COVID-19 deaths reported.

Dr Gale said an unvaccinated woman in her 30s from southwestern Sydney had died of the virus in her home on September 1, and investigations into the course of her infection are underway.

She said eight people from southwestern Sydney had died: two people were in their 80s, five in their 70s, and a woman in her 60s.

Dr Gale said a man in his 90s from the Blue Mountains, a man in his 70s from southeastern Sydney, and a man in his 70s from Sydney’s north had also died.
