Companies should focus on ‘bottom line’, not greenwashing

Companies should be about the “bottom line” rather than greenwashing, according to Liberal senator Alex Antic.

“Ultimately, companies are there to make a profit,” Mr Antic told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.

“I think they drift very perilously into the danger zone when they start pursuing ethical investing.

“It’s really one of those things I think that isn’t surprising … we’ve created this culture of virtue, a virtue cult in this country and in the West.

“Everyone’s trying to out-virtue everyone else.”
