‘We are worried about the situation in the Indo-Pacific currently’: Dutton

Defence Minister Peter Dutton says the “reality” for our country, and region, is that we “are living in a very uncertain time”.

“And over the coming years, and indeed over the coming decades, we do know that the Indo-Pacific will be as uncertain as it was during the run-up to the Second World War,” Mr Dutton said during Question Time on Thursday.

“We are worried about the situation in the Indo-Pacific at the moment.

"We have invested significantly in the Australian Defence Force over the course of the last eight years, and we will continue to do that.”
