Taliban victory parade with US Black Hawk helicopter and heavy armoured vehicles

The Taliban have been celebrating their victory in Afghanistan by parading US military heavily armoured vehicles as well as a Black Hawk helicopter captured from the Afghan National Army, according to CNN Senior International Correspondent Sam Kiley.

"So trying to rub the noses of their enemies in their victory and that I’m afraid, like it or not, is what the Taliban have achieved," he told Sky News Australia.

Mr Kiley also discussed with Sky News remarks made by a senior Taliban spokesperson that Australian soldiers had "died in vain" in the Afghanistan conflict.

"It’s inevitable that the Taliban spokesman would say that these efforts would be in vain not least because they are now back in power."
