State premiers pushing for zero-Covid has ‘a way to play out yet’

Liberal MP Dave Sharma says the zero-Covid stance of several state premiers are “opening positions” that have “a way to play out yet”.

Mr Sharma said he believes “their positions will evolve as their populations are more heavily vaccinated”.

“Western Australia and Queensland are moving more slowly through the vaccination programs than some of the other states,” he said.

“It’s quite important that we focus on the Doherty Institute modelling which was put to National Cabinet."
