Israel’s Linoy Ashram stunned pre-event favourites ROC’s Dina and Arina Averina to win gold in rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around finals with an overall score 107.800. It was Israel’s first Olympic medal in rhythmic gymnastics. ROC’s Dina Averina settled for silver and Alina Harnasko from Belarus clinched bronze.
In the group all-around, the Bulgarian gymnastics team topped the ball routine then solidified their standing in the 3 Hoops + 2 Pairs Of Clubs to earn their first Olympic gold. ROC won silver and Italy bronze.
