Shepparton calls for more support with ‘a third’ of its population in isolation

Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe says the regional Victorian city needs “more support” on the ground with “a third” of its population in isolation after its COVID cluster grew to 66 cases.

“Obviously with 20,000 people in isolation it is very challenging,” she told Sky News Australia.

“We need on the ground support, just getting food out to people.

“We need a stronger amount of volunteers.

“We have got some great support happening at the moment but the numbers is where we are struggling.”
