NSW records 1,029 new local COVID-19 cases

Premier Gladys Berejiklian says New South Wales has recorded 1,029 new local COVID-19 cases and three deaths related to the outbreak.

“Unfortunately, all three were unvaccinated,” Premier Berejiklian said during a media conference on Thursday.

“A male in his 30s, a male in his 60s and a male in his 80s and again we extend our deepest condolences.”

Ms Berejiklian said over 80 per cent of the cases were now concentrated in the southwestern and western Sydney areas of concern.

“We just ask everybody in those communities just to adhere to the advice.”
