Federal government ‘won’t get everyone out’ as evacuation deadline looms

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the Morrison government “isn’t going to get everyone out” as the deadline to evacuate Australian citizens and allies from Afghanistan looms.

“I think they’ve got troops on the ground, SAS, and so forth, trying to extricate people,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“They’re not going to get everyone out and if there’s an association to the Australian government that’s discovered, I fear for the lives of those people.

“It’s interesting, I mean the governments just keeping a lot of it under wraps until all the operations are done then I think we’ll hear a lot more.”
