NSW preparing for freedoms announcement

The New South Wales government has agreed on a range of freedom announcements after COVID-19 crisis talks and it understood more details will be announced today.

Emergency plans to support the hospitality and tourism industries are also expected as thousands of jobs are under threat.

More information regarding face-to face learning as well as emergency packages for big business in the recreation, hospitality and tourism sectors are expected to be announced.

The JobSaver program is currently available to businesses with a turnover of up to $250 million but it is understood it will be expanded to include big businesses with up to $1 billion in annual turnover in a bid to save 10,000 extra jobs around the state.
