‘Disappointed’ in government’s handling of hospitals during COVID-19

NSW Shadow Health Minister Ryan Park says the Labor opposition is “disappointed” in the government’s lack of preparedness for the impact of the Delta strain on the health system.

“We’ve had 20 months since coronavirus came to our shores last year,” Mr Park told Sky News host Paul Murray.

"We’re still in this situation where our big hospitals … are starting to crumble.

“That’s a very big concern for the population, I know it’s very concerning for the staff in those settings.

“But it’s also concerning to those local West and South-West Sydney residents.”
