Vaccination against COVID-19 allows for a ‘stable, protected’ environment

Deakin University Chair of Epidemiology Professor Catherine Bennett says vaccination against COVID-19 allows for a “stable, protected human environment”.

“What it does, is it allows you to have fewer people infected as quickly in a community,” Professor Bennett told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“It allows your normal interventions to work, and that’s where you start to normalise the way we manage COVID as an infectious disease.

“We do have to stage it though.”
