Australia was ‘built to be whole’

Liberal MP Jason Falinski says Queensland and Western Australia holding the nation to ransom is not appropriate.

Both premiers have said they may keep their borders shut for a longer, particularly to New South Wales despite National Cabinet agreeing on the Doherty Institute’s modelling.

“If Mark McGowan wants to turn Western Australia into the kingdom of Narnia well that is up to him,” Mr Falinski told Sky News Australia.

“But the fact is the rest of Australia, when they are able to get to that 70 per cent, those people in those states should be able to get back to their normal lives.

“Our nation was built to be whole, not to be separate.”
