NSW Delta outbreak is under control, despite rise in cases

Deakin University’s Chair in Epidemiology Professor Catherine Bennett says New South Wales is controlling the COVID-19 Delta outbreak, despite rising case numbers.

“At the end of the day, as our case numbers have kept climbing they are controlled,” Professor Bennett told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.

“We’re looking at this reproduction number, the average number every person infects … this is a very controlled situation, but over time, that builds up case numbers.”
