‘The big frustration’ is over the way Biden withdrew US troops from Afghanistan

Politico reporter Sabrina Rodriguez says there is “overall an agreement that the war needed to end” after US troops were in Afghanistan for 20 years yet had not achieved the desired results despite the lives lost and money spent.

“The argument here and the big frustration that we’re seeing across the political spectrum, this is something republicans and democrats are frustrated with is the rollout of it, you know the actual withdrawal,” Ms Rodriguez told Sky News Australia.

“Everyone agrees it needed to happen but the way that it’s happening in these past few weeks is incredibly frustrating.

“We keep hearing the White House double down in their messaging about how this needed to happen but not admitting that the way that it is being rolled out at the moment and the way it is being handled is a failure.”
