ATAGI ‘likely’ to approve jab for 12 to 15 year olds

Health Minister Greg Hunt says he is hopeful that by the end of next week ATAGI can form a view about vaccinating 12-15 year olds.

Mr Hunt said vaccinating immunocompromised children has already begun around the country, accounting for around 220,000 vaccinations.

“Their early indications are that it is likely they will approve that and then we will work to open that based on their advice,” he told Sky News Australia.

“We don’t have a date for their advice but we are ready to provide those immunisations.”
