US Senators approve $1 trillion infrastructure package

United States Senators have approved a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill which will be the largest infusion of federal investment into infrastructure projects in more than a decade.

The package commits billions to refurbishing and modernising America’s roads, bridges, waterways, and airports.

There is also another bill ready to be debated, a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation package which contains items such as human infrastructure.

The spending plan would allow students to enrol in two free years of community college, over universal preschool, childcare for working families, and would expand Medicare.
