Dubbo enters seven day lockdown

Former Dubbo Mayor Mathew Dickerson says there was a rush at local shops early in the morning following reports a lockdown was coming for the region.

The Dubbo region was thrown into a seven day lockdown on Wednesday after a second case was confirmed.

“At this stage people are okay. I think people can survive one week,” Mr Dickerson told Sky News Australia.

“This is the first hard lockdown that we have had to go through.”
