COVID-19 testing sites in Melbourne forced to close

Several COVID-19 testing sites in Melbourne have been forced to close after reaching capacity, as people turn out in droves to get tested amid the state’s extended lockdown.

“it’s a good problem to have because you’ve got people coming forward getting tested and I’m very grateful to them,” Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said.

20 new local COVID-19 cases were recorded in Victoria on Wednesday, with five of those cases being ‘mystery cases’, which has concerned local health authorities.
