Andrew Cuomo quit because ‘he was going to be impeached’

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has quit his position because he was “going to be impeached,” according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Cuomo announced overnight he will be going in two weeks.

It comes following a detailed report from the state’s Attorney General regarding allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him.

According to Mr Kenny, Cuomo tries to “rationalise” his behaviour and make out “it wasn’t his fault” but rather “someone changed the rules and didn’t tell him”.

“Please, he was going to be impeached, which is why he quit,” Mr Kenny said.

“He has been replaced by his deputy, a woman, and criminal inquiries are ongoing.”
