Namibian sprinters Mboma and Masilingi resurrect ‘paradox’ of DSD rules | DW News Africa

Namibian sprinter Christine Mboma claimed an historic silver medal in the 200m at the Tokyo Olympics. Fellow Namibian, 18-year-old Beatrice Masilingi, finished sixth.

But the two 18-year-olds are the latest to fall foul of the rules regarding female athletes with Differences of Sexual Development (DSD) after more than a decade of the sport’s authorities wrestling with the issue.
