Hairdressers in the roadmap to open up on August 29 in Sydney

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says hairdressers and one-day a week face-to-face learning is in the roadmap to open up on August 29.

"Numbers continue to rise in NSW but still Berejiklian talks about getting to a 50 per cent first dose vaccination rate by August 29 and claims some things can then actually open up," said Mr Clennell.

"So what could open on August 29- I’m told hairdressers is close to the top of the list for the NSW Premier and one-day a week school face-to-face learning is a priority next and is on the roadmap to open up.

"Whatever happens the measures that will be announced will involve a vaccination requirement for workers.

"But privately NSW government figures believe it will be at least November before things open up properly, with enough people then hopefully vaccinated."
