Sky News contributor Caleb Bond says "we should be so grateful" to the people out in the regions and rural areas of Australia who every day "are powering the economy of our country".
"We live really in one of the most disparate countries in the world," he told Sky News host Peter Gleeson
"It is what makes us one of the best countries in the world, is our regions and our rural areas – but they are far removed from our cities.
"We’re pretty lucky to be sitting in populace places supported by hospitals, governments and whatever else.
"And there are people out in the middle of nowhere who every day are powering the economy of our country.
"And they face risks in doing their jobs everyday that you and I who come to studios, televisions studios, newsrooms, offices don’t even think about – we never even face them.
"We should be so grateful that they do that and stories like this as you say are so extraordinary, they do this every day and we don’t even think about it."
